This is my first attempt at podcasting, and I have no idea if I'm loading this thing properly. If I'm not, then you can find it on my new podcasting site over on Podbean, which by the way is annoying because I keep thinking "bean pod" and fee fie fo fum.

Great stuff, Kanani! I spent a happy wee while with that.
I'm so glad! My kids were out of the house for an hour, so I sat down and did it! It was a bit bizarre, sitting down and reading my story, only the dog and cat in attendance.
I like the story, too. But over here, anything under 2000 words is "flash fiction," and most literary journals want nothing to do with it. I know. I've submitted to them all!
Kanani I was so longing for her to - at least - buy a red hat that at the end I yelled 'YAY!'
And when I go I want to go like Dodo.
Thanks for the pleasure.
That was marvellous K, and so professional with the music and all. I love the idea of a bunch of ageing sisters all with bright red hair and clothes, how could people not fall in love with them?
This will be my bed-time story for the rest of the week at least!
Excellent story. Very funny. It should be a tv series.
I really liked this, Kanani, and it cheered me up. I kept waiting for Ava to discover something that was almost as brassy, but perhaps a little more natural: henna. I felt like crying at the part where Ava no longer felt embarrassed by her aunts and her mother. At some point, we often do look at our elders and, for all their foibles, see them as quirky and spirited instead of ridiculous and corny. Even those who liked Lawrence Welk...
