I deleted my original comment after listening to the post for the second time. I wanted to say that it struck me as a "Voice of God" I am not particularly religious but I felt a hand on my shoulder and a affirmation of strength from the voice. The post does feel as is it was written for the listner.
Thank you.

Sausage fingers - it would be rather ironic if the voice of God was actually the same as an athiest blogger :) No, no religion, just very human affirmation and the knowledge that each of us sometimes needs to hear a voice outside ourselves telling us we're OK :)

You know, I didn't believe it when I hit the play button. But, that was really powerful.

Kim Ayres said...

Then, clearly, this was for you :)

Could I just plug this into my brain permanently? :)

I reckon it's just a matter of time before we have a USB port sticking out the side of our heads :)

Yes, I really felt this had been written just for me. The power of words...

Kim Ayres said...

Leigh - So often, combinations of words are designed to undermine us. That way we can be swayed to behave in accordance with other people's agendas. Too rarely do we hear the voices that empower us; the ones that help us to believe in ourselves.

I need to listen to this one a bit more often myself :)

Thank you for the encouragement! I loved your words and your voice. I've written a couple of stories myself and the latest one called The Tale of Rose was just translated into English. The original story is written in Finnish. It's partly based on the old Scandinavian mythology. The tale is available for free on my blog.

This is wonderful, Kim! And yes, it definitely is written specifically for each of us, isn't it?

Hello Kim,
Just found your blog and, sorry to say, the audio would not play. Given your background, though, I invite you to visit me (a new blogger) at jeffresnick.blogspot.com. While my Posts are wide-ranging, you might be most interested in "Stories in Sound" (imagined stories) and "Stories of Love" (real stories). I welcome your comments! Thanks...
